NSPI - Development of the Information Technologies in the Institute
According to the Decree of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from May, 30, 2002 (№-3080) «About the Further Development and Involvement of the Information Technologies» and according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from June,06,2002 (№200) «About the Measures of the Further Development and Involvement of the Information-Communicative Technologies» there have implemented activities in Nukus State Teachers’ Training Institute directed to development of the computational and information-communicative sphere as well as to involvement of the Information- Communicative Technologies into the educational process.
At present there are more than 400 computers in the computer park of the Institute. If in academic year 2002-2003 the number of computers in the Institute made 186 units, in academic year 2003-2004 it made 212 units and in academic year 2004-2005 – 272 units. In academic year 2007-2008 the Institute obtained 20 up-to-date computers and in academic year 2008-2009 - 35. There have been developed and brought into the computer database of the Information-Resource Center educational-methodical complexes in 1028 subjects included into the teaching program of Nukus State Teachers’ Training Institute. They have been copied to special compact-discs meant for usage in computer room and at home. There have also been copied to the compact-discs 300 necessary educational resources taken from the Internet. Scanning of the rare and not numerous books allows to provide all the students with electronic version of the necessary literature. For the students of the special correspondence department there have been made up in the framework of the teaching program of the Institute and copied to compact-discs educational-methodical complexes which have been brought into the computers of the information-resource centers functioning in basic schools and professional colleges of the republic. To increase the level of computer skills of the students of the special correspondence department there have been organized short-term courses in the center of information technologies of NSTTI attended in 2007 by 150 students and in 2008 by 350. At the end of the courses all of the trainees received certificates. There have also been practiced courses in theory and skills of working with the Internet in the center. The center of information technologies of NSTTI has in its fund multi-media books in three major directions: 120 – electronic books, 49 – educational programs (installed on the computers), 17 – virtual laboratory stands. More than 60 videocassettes of the ideological-educational and scientific meaning are available. Their number regularly increases. Two video-projectors for meant for usage in educational process were obtained in 2008. From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. the students are allowed to use the Internet in the information-resource center of the Institute. The computers of the resource center are connected to ZiyoNET. The students’ progress in study, the total rating of their middle and final scores have been brought into the automatic monitoring system of the Institute. |
