Academic Board of Nukus State Teachers’ Training Institute
General
coordination of the scientific-pedagogical work of Nukus State Teachers’
training Institute is done by Academic Board administered by the Chairman. The executive
staff of the Academic Board is represented by the vice-rector in scientific
work, academic secretary and members of the professorial-teaching and academic
staff of the Institute.
The
duties of the Academic Board members are determined by the Rules of NSTTI.
Academic Board
implements the following functions:
1) determines
the structure of the Institute, starts and abolishes
its scientific and educational structural units
(except branches), discusses and accepts principles about structural units according
to the current Rules;
2) takes decisions referring to organization of educational process as well as to
increase and shortening of terms of study, considers projects of teaching programs
and programs of training experts of various levels according to the demand of the
state educational standard;
3) determines changes of the date of the beginning of the academic year;
4) confirms the Principles about organization of teaching process;
5) takes a decision on possibility of including the deans of the faculties, the
directors of the academic lyceums, the academic secretary, the chairman of the
students’ board into the staff of the academic board without election on the
institutional conference;
6) determines order of formation of the support and care sector of the
Institute and other structural units in various directions of activity;
7) considers principles about academic boards of the faculties, confirms their
staff;
8) confirms the principle about the order of rector’s elections, appoints a
date of holding the elections and determines agenda of conferences of the
working collective;
9) confirms the principle about stipends, determines sizes of stipends of the
students – citizens of Uzbekistan not lower than the minimum size determined by
the state or according to the conditions of the contract
between a student and institutions or
organizations;
10) in the framework of the license and considering the official quantitative
eligibilities determines amount and structure of admission of first-year
students, evaluates the number of the students who study at the Institute;
11) confirms the procedure of pre-term cancellation of the working contract
with professor because of his insufficient competence;
12) confirms order of development of the thematic plans of the research work, delivering
reports about their fulfillment;
13) considers opportunities of organization of personnel’s training and
retraining on the major and extra-programs of the professional education, applied
for licensing;
14) listens to the reports of the rector on the results of the work of the
Institute’s employees during a year and determines the major directions of the
Institute’s development;
15) confirms the plan of the economic and social development of the Institute for
a year and for the long-term perspective;
16) takes decisions on the criteria of election of the deans of the faculties and
heads of the chairs, on competitive selection of the professorial-teaching staff,
considers order of making employment contracts with employees;
17) considers attesting matters concerning conferment of scientific and honor
degrees as well as governmental awards;
18) confers titles «senior professor», «docent», «professor of Nukus State
Teachers’ Training Institute»;
19) takes decisions on admission to the post-graduate school, supervising
candidates, providing them with a period of scientific trial and transferring
to scientific positions for preparation of dissertations as well as providing
with dissertational vacations;
20) takes decisions on the Chairman of the Academic Board and his assistants;
21) considers other matters of the scientific activity of the Institute
according to the Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The
work of the Academic Board is done according to the annual plan admitted at the
meeting of the Academic Board. The meetings of the Academic Board are held
every month, apart of this, if necessary, extraordinary meetings are held.
The chairman of the Academic Board of Nukus State Teachers’ Training
Institute is the rector, candidate of physics and mathematics docent
Murat
Karlibaevich Berdimuratov.
The vice-chairman of the Academic Board is the temporary
vice-rector in scientific work, candidate of philology professor Kutlimurat
Muyatdinovich Koshanov.
The academic secretary is a senior professor of the Karakalpak language
chair, candidate of philology
Darigul Seydullaeva.
