Faculty of Physics and Mathematics

   Started in 1935.   In 1996 it was renamed into the faculty of mathematics and information technologies and in 2005 after uniting with the Engineering-Pedagogical Faculty it was again named   ‘Physics and Mathematics Faculty.’ Today the faculty consists of 5 chairs where 94 docents and professors work. Among them - 22 Science Candidates and docents .
  There are 5 computer rooms on the faculty . 3 of them are connected to the Internet. The information technologies, computers and the Internet are actively used in teaching process. As a result, all the professors exchange by e-mail professional experience with foreign colleagues.
    For the advanced students there are organized sections «A Programmer», «A Young Mathematician», «A Young Physicist».

    The faculty trains bachelors in the following fields:

           «Mathematics and IT»

           «Physics and Astronomy”  

           «Professional Education» (see ‘ fields and their codes’).

 

There is also Master’s study in the field «Information Technologies» (see ‘ fields of Master’s Study’)

The languages of study: Uzbek, Karakalpak, Kazakh.
